Workers’ Compensation

Every year, thousands of workers are injured on the job. Sometimes, they are unable to continue working. This results in both a loss of income and an accumulation of medical expenses. Workers’ Compensation insurance helps employers continue to pay employees during their care, rehabilitation, and recovery.

Under the Michigan Workers’ Disability Compensation Act, almost all Michigan employers are required to carry workers’ compensation insurance to cover an employee who suffers an “injury arising out of and in the course of employment.”

In some circumstances where an employee is injured on the job, there is no dispute and benefits are paid. However, many times, employers dispute an employee’s Workers’ Compensation claim or fails to pay a claim in its entirety. Bagley & Langan, PLLC has routinely fought for workers’ rights and benefits.
